HeC_3DBrowser

Current status of 3D Browser shows the linkage of HeC domain with textual resources. This connection have been done through a HeC customized portion of UMLS. UMLS concepts have been used both to annotate textual entities and to represent our 'semantic' layer by means UMLS taxonomy and relationships. Future directions involve improvements in the graphic user interface, extension and better adaptation of the UMLS portion to be used, and better exploitation of the abstract links (semantic bridges). Currently, we are adding new functionalities based on other external resources like @neurIST project, SwissProt, etc.
